Our Signature Apple Cider

What makes our cider truly special?Pure Flavor, No Compromises
Unlike traditional methods, we use a cold-filtering process under high pressure to remove sediment while preserving the crisp, natural taste of freshly pressed apples.Safety Meets Freshness
Our innovative light-treatment process ensures your cider is just as safe as pasteurized options, without the “cooked” flavor that heat treatments often leave behind.Year-Round Delight
Thanks to our orchard’s diverse apple varieties, we press small batches of cider all year long. From mid-October to December, try our seasonal Golden Russet Cider: a light, sweet blend with golden-hued charm.Note: Availability varies due to the delicate heirloom apples used in our recipes—get yours while they last!

Our Roots in the Land
Welcome to Bolton Orchards—a story that began over a century ago with humble beginnings and a passion for nurturing the earth.
From Dairy to Orchard
In the late 1800s, the Davis Farm began as a small dairy in Sterling, Massachusetts, founded on hard work and family values.Everything changed in 1935 when Jonathan Davis, inspired by the fertile New England soil, purchased the Bolton Fruit Company—a sprawling 200-acre peach orchard in Bolton, Massachusetts. This bold step marked the start of our journey into fruit cultivation, blending tradition with innovation.

Bolton Orchards’ First Market at the Junction of Routes 110 & 117 – Circa 1945
A snapshot of our beginnings:
A simple farm stand serving the community with fresh, local goodness.
Growth & Community Connection
By 1945, the farm’s vision expanded. We built our first farm stand at the crossroads of Routes 110 and 117, a quaint hub where neighbors gathered for the season’s freshest harvest. Over the decades, this humble stand blossomed alongside our orchards, evolving into the vibrant market you see today. While peaches once dominated, we diversified to grow over 25 varieties of apples, 15 types of peaches, nectarines, plums, crisp sweet corn, juicy tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, and two uniquely pressed ciders—each crop carefully tended to thrive in New England’s seasons.

Still Growing, Still Family
Today, Bolton Orchards spans 250 acres of active farmland, but our heart remains the same. Wander through our market to discover:

• Seasonal bounty:
Handpicked fruits, vegetables, and vibrant flowers.• Homemade delights:
Artisan baked goods, savory deli foods, and small-batch ciders.• Local treasures:
Gifts and goods crafted with care by New England makers.

Bolton Orchards Today
Where heritage meets harvest:
A modern market celebrating the freshest flavors of the season.
Planting Seeds for Tomorrow
For generations, we’ve honored the land while adapting to its rhythms. From Jonathan Davis’s first peach trees to today’s heirloom apples, we’re proud to share nature’s best—one harvest at a time.

Award-Winning
New City Microcreamery Ice Cream
Now serving New City Microcreamery, made locally in Hudson, MA. We are very excited to be the first place to scoop outside of the New City locations. Proudly voted Best Ice Cream in Massachusetts by an independent MassLive evaluation, they have turned their sweetest dreams into a scoopable reality—and yes, it's every bit as good as it sounds! What makes New City ice cream so extraordinary? It starts with a slow-steeped, scratch-made base, infused with flavor for 24 hours. Then comes the showstopper: they flash-freeze it using liquid nitrogen at a staggering -300ºF. This ultra-cold technique creates super-fine ice crystals, resulting in a signature smooth, creamy texture. It is then finished by aerating the frozen cream for a light, luscious mouthful that sets our scoops apart.

In addition to our wide variety of New City flavors, we also offer a selection of monthly rotating popular flavors from family-owned Warwick Ice Cream located in Rhode Island.
